New Defibrillator
All defibrillators need checking regularly. In January we spotted a problem that meant our ten-year-old unit was no longer reliably “rescue-ready”. As it was out of warranty, we immediately obtained a replacement loan unit, which is in place, and it is registered with the local emergency services https://www.defibfinder.uk/.
After assessing the alternatives, the team at Aston Village Hall has decided to purchase a brand new replacement unit from Stone-based charity AED Donate, for £798, for the community.
Two years ago the AVH team replaced the battery in the unit ( which had originally been purchased by the WI ) and installed a new, heated secure cabinet on the outside wall to protect it better.
The proceeds from the Friday Fun Bingo (Family Fun Bingo! )and donations made at the 1st April Saturday Butty and Coffee Morning (Saturday Butty & Coffee Morning ) will help towards this vital investment in maintaining the community’s health.
